Job description

Location: Plano, TX (Onsite F2F Interview Likely Next Week)
Type: W2 Only
Duration: 12+ Months (Potential Extension or Contract-to-Hire)
Rate: $72/hr (W2)

  • AWS expertise: Strong experience with ECS, EC2, Lambda, IAM, or CloudFormation

  • Containerization: Proficient with EKS or Kubernetes (EKS clusters)

  • Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform

  • Support Ops: Experience with ticketing systems and managing a high volume of support tickets

  • Scripting: Unix shell or Python scripting

  • Troubleshooting: Skilled at debugging cloud and security access issues

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1/L2 support and incident management across AWS platforms

  • Serve as primary contact for developers via ticketing systems

  • Leverage automation tools to enhance scalability and reliability

  • Perform root cause analysis and document preventive actions

  • Optimize operational efficiency and cloud performance

  • Support mixed environments (Unix, Linux, Windows, Mainframe)

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Comfortable reading Java and Python code

  • Experience with Oracle DBA, Cassandra, CockroachDB

  • Middleware/messaging platforms: Kafka, MQ

  • App server experience with Tomcat

  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
