Penetration Tester / Cyber Security Research Consultant

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Type: W2 (Must have at least 12 months of work authorization remaining)
Compensation: $57 per hour on W2

We are seeking an experienced Penetration Tester / Cyber Security Research Consultant to join a high-performing cybersecurity team. This hybrid role, based in Charlotte, NC, will focus on securing web applications through advanced penetration testing and contributing to continuous security research efforts.

• Web Application Penetration Testing: In-depth understanding of security testing methodologies, including the OWASP Top 10. Proven ability to assess and exploit vulnerabilities in complex web environments.

• Bug Bounty Experience: Demonstrated success in bug bounty programs or responsible disclosure initiatives through platforms such as HackerOne or Bugcrowd.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Kali Linux, or similar.

• Strong analytical and technical writing skills, with the ability to document and communicate findings clearly.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. under a W2 arrangement with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining.
