We are seeking a seasoned IT Program Manager to lead complex software development initiatives within the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) technology portfolio. This hybrid role requires strong project execution experience in the financial sector, particularly in AML, audit/regulatory, and banking environments. The ideal candidate will not only manage multiple interdependent projects but also serve as a strategic partner across technology and business teams.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic AML/BSA technology initiatives, managing $5MM+ in annual spend across 10–20 technology teams.
Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring compliance with internal audit and regulatory frameworks.
Manage project risks, issues, and milestones with strict discipline and visibility.
Champion change and continuous improvement in processes and tools.
Partner effectively with Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.
Ensure thorough documentation and controls in line with enterprise risk frameworks.
Accountable for project financials, status reporting, and adherence to program governance standards.
Job requirements
Program Management Expertise
3–5+ years of program/project management in application software development
Proven ability to manage interdependent, complex technology projects
Strong change management and execution capability
Stakeholder Engagement
Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of an organization
Effective engagement with Compliance, Operations, and Tech stakeholders
Operational Excellence
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Skilled at developing and executing mitigation and project plans under tight timelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
In-depth understanding of enterprise risk and control frameworks
Familiarity with Bank of America’s Risk Framework (preferred but not required)
Experience with Agile delivery, Agile PI planning routines, and end-to-end software testing
Ability to manage project financials effectively
Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic technology environment
Demonstrates strong leadership and earns stakeholder buy-in across business and tech teams
Delivers complex software projects on time and within scope
Navigates enterprise processes, tools, and governance standards with ease
Adapts to changing project conditions while leveraging best practices
Deep understanding of AML systems, regulations, and compliance standards

This is not a Business Analyst role – strong Program Manager candidates with direct AML experience are required.
