We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented IT Security Specialist III to join our team in a hybrid capacity based in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in Cybersecurity Rules, Regulatory Management, and IT-based Policy Governance Lifecycles. The ideal candidate will be capable of driving policy development, ensuring regulatory alignment, and supporting audit readiness in a highly regulated environment.
Lead the governance, development, implementation, and lifecycle management of security policies across the organization.
Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards and ensure internal security policies align accordingly.
Conduct capacity planning, risk analysis, and audits to assess the effectiveness of IT security policies.
Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on security compliance and regulatory best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical SMEs and business stakeholders, to embed compliance into system designs and processes.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and presenting evidence of compliance.
Analyze complex regulatory information and provide actionable insights and solutions.
Serve as a liaison between legal, compliance, and IT teams, translating requirements into enforceable policies and operational procedures.
Job requirements
10+ years of hands-on Pega experience delivering large, complex enterprise solutions
Strong communication skills for interacting with business and technical teams
Expertise in Pega 8, Pega PRPC, and Pega PRPC guardrails
Deep understanding of enterprise class structure, workflows, and design patterns
Advanced experience with:
Case management, data modeling, integrations, agents, and performance tuning
UX/UI design and Pega UI guardrails
Pega upgrades, server configurations, and troubleshooting
Agile development methodologies
High-level estimates and sizing
Packaging and deployment
Database modeling and SQL query optimization, particularly with Oracle SQL
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Pega LSA certification (mandatory)
Desired Skills:
3–5 years as a Pega Lead System Architect
5–8 years as a Pega System Architect working on multi-tier web applications
Experience creating frameworks and enterprise-wide applications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Additional Details:
This role is hybrid — 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC, 2 days remote
