We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA on a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mainframe Development, Oracle, and SQL, with a deep understanding of the banking and payments domain, particularly in WIRES FED, CHIPS, Cross Border Payments, and SWIFT domain payments.
Design, develop, test, and maintain robust mainframe applications.
Work on middleware technologies including MQ, messaging, batch jobs, REST/SOAP web services.
Develop and maintain database components in Oracle and SQL.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and testers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Manage and enhance payment interfaces and flows across WIRE ROOM and online channels.
Apply knowledge of clearing houses such as CHIPS and FEDWIRE and relevant compliance mandates.
Guide and support junior team members.
Participate in Agile and DevOps development environments.
Job requirements
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in technology development and maintenance roles.
Strong RDBMS skills, especially in Oracle and SQL.
Experience in UNIX/Linux environments with scripting (Bash, Perl).
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, J2EE, JBOSS, Oracle APIs.
Exposure to tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, AutoSys, Prognosis, UPF (preferred).
Experience with AIX, Mainframe, COBOL, and Python is a plus.
Understanding of synchronous/asynchronous messaging, correlation, and queuing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in Money Transfer Systems (MTS) and payment processing technologies.
Knowledge of Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management, and Performance Monitoring.
