We are seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to join our team in a hybrid capacity based in Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; or Washington, DC. This individual will lead and manage critical technology initiatives with a focus on cybersecurity, documentation, and executive communication. The ideal candidate will be adept in both project management and technical writing, with a firm grasp of security concepts and enterprise-level governance standards.
Plan, execute, and monitor complex IT and cybersecurity projects
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria
Manage resources, schedules, and risks across organizational units
Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements
Provide comprehensive reporting and visibility on project status and milestones
Facilitate stakeholder communication and alignment on objectives
Technical Writing & Documentation
Produce clear, detailed, and high-quality documentation, including:
Technical process documents
Governance and compliance reports
Audit-ready materials
Executive presentation content
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather documentation requirements
Maintain document repositories and support document governance lifecycle
Tailor documentation for various internal and external audiences
Job requirements
Proven experience in project management and project lifecycle coordination
Expertise in documentation and technical writing, especially for audit, governance, and executive presentations
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise documentation for multiple audiences
Experience working across multiple teams and business units
Preferred Knowledge Areas
Cybersecurity domains such as:
Vulnerability Management
Digital Identity & Authentication
Data Encryption & API Security
Cloud Security Architectures
Risk Management Frameworks
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of experience in project management within IT or cybersecurity environments
PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Experience working in hybrid work environments and cross-functional teams
