Experience Required: 10–12 years total, including minimum 2 years in ledger/journal

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with specialized expertise in Ledger Journal processes to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in financial applications, specifically in General Ledger and Accounts Payable, combined with strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. This is a hybrid role requiring periodic on-site collaboration.

  • Elicit, analyze, and document Business Requirements for financial applications involving General Ledger and Accounts Payable processes.

  • Apply a deep understanding of Ledger and Journal Entry processing, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in this area.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, including complex business process workflows.

  • Track and communicate project status reports for senior management, covering roadmaps, risk mitigation, current/future states, and other relevant metrics.

  • Act as a Functional Consultant, guiding clients through all phases of the systems development lifecycle.

  • Identify functionality gaps, conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs), and propose effective solutions or workarounds.

  • Advise stakeholders on system options, process risks, and cross-system impacts.

  • Develop comprehensive end-user documentation and training materials.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and system functionality.

Job requirements

    • 10 to 12 years of experience in business analysis for financial systems.

    • Minimum 2 years of experience working with ledger and journal entries.

    • Proficiency in business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and process documentation.

    • Advanced PowerPoint presentation skills, especially in delivering content to senior technical executives.

    • Strong knowledge of General Ledger and Accounts Payable operations.

    • Experience in Oracle Financials R12 and Oracle Financial Cloud Web Services Integration (highly desirable).

    • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Familiarity with financial system integrations, web services, and cloud-based financial platforms.

    • Experience in creating training programs and leading user adoption initiatives.
