We are seeking a seasoned Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can work hands-on while also guiding and mentoring a team. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, ETL, Hadoop, Informatica, Python, and preferably Axiom, and will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial and regulatory reporting solutions.
Job requirements
Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and requirements have clear acceptance criteria.
Guide the team on work breakdown, estimation, and execution.
Serve as a team lead (while remaining an individual contributor) and mentor team members on best practices, including planning, estimation, peer reviews, and engineering standards.
Identify skill and role gaps on the team and work with the Technology Manager to address them.
Assist the Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans.
Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality assurance.
Ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and minimize technical debt.
Manage compliance, security requirements, and audit support at the team level.
Act as a liaison for production activities and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in system analysis, software design, and development.
Proven ability to collaborate with technical product owners and help prioritize technical initiatives and debt remediation.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Oracle PL/SQL
ETL tools
Python
Informatica
Hadoop
Experience working with large relational databases and data analysis/reporting tools.
Prior experience working in financial regulatory reporting technology (preferred).
Prior experience with the Axiom tool (preferred).
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Nice-to-Have:
Financial services or regulatory reporting background.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
