Cloud Security Architect - Chicago, IL

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role requires a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in cloud security, compliance, risk management, and cloud architecture across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with leading cloud security tools and a strong background in designing and implementing secure cloud solutions.

• • Lead the design and architecture of secure cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Assess and manage cloud security risks, compliance, and governance frameworks.

  • Evaluate, implement, and manage cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools such as Wiz, Aqua Security, SentinelOne, or similar.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into cloud architectures.

  • Define cloud security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

  • Provide guidance on cloud security and governance tools to protect enterprise environments.

  • Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management in cloud environments.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for cloud security, offering leadership on remediation strategies and architecture improvements.

  Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on cloud environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Wiz, CSPM solutions, Aqua Security, or SentinelOne.

  • Proven expertise in cloud security, compliance, and risk management.

  • Extensive experience architecting secure solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security and governance tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in Chicago, IL.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.

  Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
