Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Owner to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data or regulatory reporting, with hands-on expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Client Onboarding Due Diligence, and/or Economic Sanctions. This role will play a critical part in driving product strategy, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring high-quality delivery in a highly regulated environment.

Job requirements

    • Serve as the primary Product Owner for initiatives related to monitoring, surveillance, and compliance testing, including transaction and conformance testing.

    • Manage and refine product backlogs, prioritize features, and define clear acceptance criteria to deliver value to stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, compliance, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery.

    • Apply process management principles to design effective controls and oversee their implementation.

    • Lead efforts in risk management, issue management, and audit preparation.

    • Interpret complex laws, rules, and regulations to ensure the product is compliant with industry standards and regulatory expectations.

    • Analyze large volumes of data quickly and accurately to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

    • Ensure alignment with data management and data governance best practices.

    • Communicate complex testing results and regulatory interpretations in a clear, concise, and collaborative manner.

    • Provide thorough and clear documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of experience in data or regulatory reporting, Anti-Money Laundering, Client Onboarding Due Diligence, and/or Economic Sanctions.

    • Strong experience with:

      • Monitoring, surveillance, and testing (including transaction and conformance testing)

      • Process management and effective control design

      • Risk management and audit processes

      • Issue management and resolution

      • Interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations

    • Familiarity with data management and data governance concepts.

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and collaborative manner.

    • Strong team player with a focus on high-quality execution and thorough documentation.

    Additional Information:

    • Candidates must be local to Charlotte, NC, and within a 45-mile radius.

    • This role requires on-site presence 3 days per week.
