      About the Role

      We are seeking a highly motivated Power Solutions Engineer with a strong background in modern power systems and utility energy infrastructures. This is an onsite role designed for an innovative thinker with hands-on experience in Virtual Power Plants (VPP), distributed energy resources (DERs), and power storage technologies. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a dynamic, solutions-oriented environment and can bring a prototyping or automation mindset to the table.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Design, develop, and implement solutions for modern power grid systems, including two-way power flow architectures.

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the deployment of VPP technologies and consumer DER integration.

      • Provide engineering support for power storage solutions and integration with the grid.

      • Prototype and automate system configurations to enhance power distribution efficiency.

      • Analyze and troubleshoot energy systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and utility requirements.

      • Assist with the design and rollout of smart grid technologies and next-generation energy systems.

      • Participate in system validation, testing, and field deployment activities.

Job requirements

    • Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or related field.

      • 3–7 years of hands-on experience with VPP, DER, power storage, and utility/energy systems.

      • Familiarity with two-way power flow, smart grids, and distributed generation.

      • Ability to rapidly prototype and/or automate energy solutions.

      • Solid understanding of grid communication protocols and control systems.

      • Some exposure to Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) systems is a plus, but not essential.

      • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

      • Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Greenwood Village, CO, are highly preferred.
