Role Overview:

We are seeking a Power Solutions Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of power systems and solutions for industrial, commercial, or utility clients. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in electrical power systems with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop power system solutions including distribution, backup, and renewable integration systems.

  • Conduct power system studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, and harmonic analysis.

  • Implement energy efficiency and reliability solutions using the latest power electronics and control systems.

  • Select and specify electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and batteries.

  • Collaborate with project managers and customers to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure all solutions comply with national and international codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC).

  • Use simulation and modeling software (ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, etc.) for system analysis and design.

  • Prepare technical documentation: proposals, reports, as-built drawings, and manuals.

  • Contribute to R&D and continuous improvement of power engineering practices.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering, electrical design, or related areas.

  • Strong knowledge of power system components and architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with power simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, PSCAD).

  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems (solar, wind) and energy storage is a plus.

  • Understanding of protective relaying and substation automation.

  • Experience with regulatory standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, UL).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE (Professional Engineer) License or working toward licensure.

  • Experience working with utilities or large industrial clients.

  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3).

  • Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS) or microgrids.
