We're Hiring: Commercial Lines Account Executive
Location: New Jersey — Onsite
Salary: $70,000 to $100,000, depending on experience + Commission
Our Client is a leading insurance agency in New Jersey specializing in providing tailored commercial insurance solutions to businesses. We pride ourselves on exceptional client service, industry expertise, and a supportive team environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive with 3 to 7 years of experience in commercial lines insurance. This is an onsite position focused on managing client accounts, ensuring smooth transaction processing, and supporting client retention through excellent service and proactive policy management.
Job requirements
Manage all account transactions, including quoting, applications, ID cards, endorsements, proposals, coverage summaries, certificates, and binders for assigned accounts.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carrier underwriting requirements.
Conduct renewal reviews and quote/remarket policies as needed.
Respond promptly to inquiries from clients, insurance companies, and producers.
Identify cross-selling opportunities and suggest coverage upgrades.
Document all activities in the agency management system, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
Adhere to agency billing, premium collection, and underwriting guidelines. Obtain client sign-off for declined recommended coverages.
Qualifications
3 to 7 years of experience in commercial lines insurance or a similar account executive role.
Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (e.g., General Liability, Commercial Property, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto).
Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency with agency management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
NJ insurance license (or ability to obtain one) preferred.
