Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Lead (W2)

Location: New York City, NY (Local Candidates Only)
Pay Rate: $80 – $85/hr on W2
Visa Status: Open to all visas (W2 only)
Interview: In-Person Interview Required

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Lead to join our team for a high-impact role in NYC. This is a hands-on engineering position ideal for professionals with a strong background in cloud architecture, security, and DevOps automation, particularly within AWS ecosystems.

Job requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 12–15 years of overall IT experience, with a strong focus in AWS cloud engineering

  • Proven expertise in:

    • AWS services and architecture best practices

    • Python programming

    • Terraform infrastructure-as-code

  • Solid experience in:

    • Cloud migration projects (on-prem to cloud)

    • IAM and Security configurations

    • DevOps pipelines

    • Linux shell scripting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to large-scale cloud migration initiatives from on-prem to AWS

  • Write and manage Terraform and Python scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning

  • Implement and oversee IAM, security, and compliance controls within the cloud environment

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines

  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting support, and mentorship as needed

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to perform in high-pressure, client-facing environments

  • Solution-oriented with a leadership mindset
